So.. I've been out for two weeks. I know. Bad Megan! I had OK excuses though. The main one being my 3 year old had surgery and I've just been staying in watching her.
I {was} delighted to see that I made my 184 goal -- but after two weeks of no activity -- I'm sitting at my old 186-187 weight. :\ So back to the drawing board!
I'm fighting a bad chest cough from drainage.. I'm going to restart my regime on Monday and hopefully we can get back on track! New goal date -- March 10th to be 184. April `1st to be 180.

Day 4.
Kickboxing! Gosh am I tired. MST RB whopped my booty tonight but I feel great.
Another lean cuisine tonight and my protein shake from Jillian Michael's and I feel like I did great again!
My real test will be this weekend as we are going to Austin for a mini vacation.
Must must muuuuussstttt keep focused and stay motivated.
I really wanna see 184 on the scales Monday morning when I wake up.
140 -- here I come!
Happy Friday, yall!
Yes ma'am!
OH!
Homework given to me tonight. Drink 4 full bottles of water a day. I'm HORRIBLE at keeping up with how much I drink -- and I don't drink soda, and definitely not any alcohol, either.
I need to carry something with that amount around with me all day. Hmm!

Day 3.
I did 58 minutes on the bike today.. 6 miles even. Max speed 10mph.. but my average was around 6. Mind you I'm pulling my weight, plus the girls.. Emma at around 36lbs and Kaelyn at around 27lbs?
So 63 lbs plus the 32 for my bike trailer... that's 95 EXTRA pounds.
I know this is a little early but I'm down to 185 even! One pound gone in 3 days of busting my butt and already watching what I'm eating along with portion control. I'm feeling great!!
If I hit my 184 pound goal by Monday I'm going to be jumping for joy!
Bye bye one pound of fat! here is to 44 more to go!!
Also! Wanted to share this for some of you on the run who wanted to do some fast workouts that are EASY. You can do them while watching TV. HAH! Tv AND work out! :)
So here are some facts
1. There are about 3500 calories in one pound of fat.
2. Every two jumping jacks= 1 calorie burnt
3. 7000 jumping jacks=1 pound gone
4. 10 sets of a 100 jumping jacks for 1 week will burn a pound.
So on top of your current diet and exercise regime can you add on 10 sets of 100 jumping jacks a day for 1 week. Its one week cant be so hard lets try this, because a pound lighter is a pound lighter
Some great diet and work out tips!

So here we are, Day 3. I've done a ton of reading the last few days and I stumbled upon this lovely article.. that I want to share. Good stuff too -- things I'm glad I found NOW before I went months and then realized "oh crap...restart!"
Friends and family who follow and are embarking on a similar weight loss sojourn... this will be helpful for you too!

Another thing I keep stumbling upon is the importance of a good breakfast. I remember in highschool I hardly ate breakfast because I thought it'd help me loose weight if I didn't. Wrong! I'm still bad about it.. but this is something I'm making an effort to change.. (as well as waking up earlier! Darn staying up so late working and editing photos... lol. Oh the joys of being a stay at home mom - stay at home business woman running a photography biz. )
Here is a good outline of some popular breakfast foods.

Snacks also should be watched. I'm a junk-food-aholic certain times of the month. My sweet tooth will extend and anytime chocolate dare let me catch a whiff of it's seductive aroma... I can hardly say no. :X (Sounds like I'm chasing some kinda person, and I'm like a vampire that feeds off of chocolate.. hahah)
That's my typical reaction. Anyhow... snacks should be around 100-200 cals. Sodium and sugar should be watched.
This link here has a great example of what to look out for. http://www.fitsugar.com/Photos-150-Calorie-Snacks-18522425/results

You Can't Eat Peanut Butter Out of the Jar
While peanut butter is full of heart-healthy fats, it's not void of calories — one tablespoon contains 105. I found myself spooning it straight out of the jar, wondering why my jeans weren't any looser. This is important to remember with all healthy foods: just because they aren't considered junky, doesn't mean you can eat as much as you want. Be aware of portion sizes when it comes to whole grains, nuts, seeds, and health food store snacks.

Keep reading to find out what else I wish I had known about weight loss.
Being Vegan Doesn't Automatically Cause Weight Loss
My two roommates in college were tall, skinny, and vegan, so I thought eating a plant-based diet was the key to dropping pounds. I may have ditched animal products, but I ended up eating tons of pasta, bread, french fries, and dairy-free ice cream instead. Had I focused on fresh fruits, veggies, legumes, and whole grains, a vegan diet might have helped me reach my weight loss goal, but my junk-food vegan diet actually caused me to gain weight.

Walking Isn't Enough
Walking is definitely a better workout than just sitting on the couch, so I thought strolling through the mall and walking to class would do the trick. But walking isn't a major calorie burner like running. When it comes to losing weight, you need to burn or cut out 3,500 calories a week to lose a pound. A 30-minute walk only burns around 122 calories, which is well under the 500 it takes to affect a weekly weigh-in. If you want to lose weight, you'll need to kick up the intensity and the length of your workouts.

One Workout Doesn't Mean You Can Eat All You Want
After hitting a Step class with my college roommate, we'd hit the dining hall and fuel up. We worked out so we deserved it, right? Little did I know I was undoing all the good I had done and actually eating way more than I had burned, which was making the scale numbers go even higher. If you need a little workout reward, don't do it with food. Download some new songs on iTunes, pick up a fitness mag, or buy yourself a new top to motivate you to get to the gym.

So day 2. Went running for 3 miles I think? Did squat - kicks on my half point. Legs feel like jelly but it'll pay off. I had my first protein shake from Jillian Michael's I picked up yesterday for lunch. It was really good and filling! Trying to keep up these good habits. From those of you who I share this with... who know me... I can break a schedule and become lazy in a second flat. Do NOT let me break this. I can do it!
(I really am ready to be at 140 lbs.)
On a different note -- the pin-up photos are coming along SWIMMINGLY! I can't wait to post some examples on here.. and while doing so I need to revamp the creative portraits side of the website. I have links later, and photos will start appearing online some time just after Valentines day. :)
Over and out.

So to kick my motivation into high gear.. I went out and got some healthy snacks, some fruit, salad stuff, low fat frozen yogurt and the Jillian Michael's protein whey mix to blend in with the yogurt.. and some lean cuisine steam bag meals to try as well. I'm going to try a small shake tonight to see how it taste (I got the chocolate whey.) I'm pretty excited about this. I will hit the 184 marker by this weekend!!!

Went on a bike ride for 6 miles..played at the park with my girls. Weather was around 60. Perfect for biking. I need gloves so my hands don't rub raw on my ancient bike. I weighed myself about an hour out from riding and it read I was a pound down. Here is my list of weight loss goals to reach 140. I think I should be able to hit these every 2-3 weeks. The 184 is so close I'm hoping by this weekend.. no, this next Monday. So if I keep up with everything.. hopefully by the girl's birthday party on March 4th I can weigh in at 176. Seems realistic. It'll be a 9.5 pound loss.

Why am I wanting to loose weight?

Why am I wanting to loose weight?
1. I want to be healthy for myself, my family, my husband.
2. I want to say that I did it!
3. I want to love my body, not hate it.
4. I don't wanna buy clothes anymore that have to cover my body up.
5. I wanna take the fun photos I want to without cutting back on how I pose, ect... I wanna just be me!
6. I don't want to be the biggest girl in my circle of friends. TIRED of it when I was never the big one.
7. I wanna wear the clothes that I want to wear.. no more double digits and XL's.
8. I want to stop making my thighs rub out in my jeans.. so annoying when almost all my jeans get holes there.
9. I want to be the role model for my daughters that they deserve. A healthy, in shape woman.
10. I wanna be in a good weight for our last pregnancy.. so it's easier and bouncing back will be faster.
11. no more back bewbs. I don't have big ones.. but if I bend to the side they like to rear their fangs.
12. I wanna inspire others.
13. I wanna keep my marriage sizzlin'. ;)
14. Get me into a bikini again!!! No more maternity swim wear! >:|
15. And most of all.. after everything my body has been though, I freakin' deserve it!.
I know it won't be easy.. and this will be my documentation of it all.
Let's do this.. from 185 to 140 in ..9 months. The length of time it would take to bake a baby... I can drop 45 lbs.
So who's excited to get skinny?
This girl. :)

So I'd say I'm not a really shy person.. but over the last 6 years I've grown to become a little self conscious of what my body has morphed into. I am very proud that I was able to make, carry, grow, and birth 2 beautiful little girls with this stomach.. but boy do I wish I could get my high school figure back. Here you will see my progress from skinny, to pregnant, to after, to pregnant, to present. I want to post photos weekly of my progress so you know I'm actually trying lol. Warning.. things will get kinda.... big.
2006 - Highschool skinnaayy!
Oh HOLY baby.. 230 lbs, pregnant with Emma - 9 months preg. She was 9.5 lbs
(Mind you I was 165 when I got pregnant.) March 2008
185 with Emma.. 9 months postpartum Dec 2008
9 months preg with Kaelyn.. 200 lbs.
I bake em' big. She was 9 lbs. Feb 2010
May 2011 - pregnant? Negative. Weight at 185
Just my post baby bump that likes to hover. HATE.
(I'm on the right) Jan 2012. I'm at 185 again here.
I started slacking in working out and dieting because of just finding out I wasn't going to be doing my tummy tuck. And now we need to fix this. Before you go any further.. I will have bare belly photo of the damages pregnancy has done to my body. I'm PRAYING to get this as trimmed down as possible before hand.. if you can't handle funky skin and a pooch.. exit now while you can.
:sad face: and here I am now. I HATE this mommy apron I have.
I despise it. I want it gone, or as small as possible. You can see where I wear my pants now with the red line to hide myself from the world. I rarely dress where you'd notice it. This is the first time I'm showing anybody what my post body looks like. Judge if you want. I put this up there for me to get off my ass to loose it. Every Monday I will be posting something. If you follow me.. maybe by October it'll be gone. Anyhow... there you have it. The big ugly skin flap. :X

First post of many to come.

10:31 PM
So here we are. First post. I've done blogs in the past, and they are now collecting dust on the internet somewhere...maybe I'll link them to this one for kicks. Maybe not. For now I need to get in the mind set to update this one at least twice a week. Please, do yell at me if I don't.. in this orderly fashion, too.
Anyhow, let's get to the good stuff. I'm on here because I need a place that is a few steps down from facebook to share this information with. My daily brain.. or weekly? I want to use this blog for my weight loss goals, my writing (I'm writing a book, yes) goals, photography projects on the creative side, and just a place to rant, bitch, moan, ect.
I'm also going to make this my little soap box for just about anything.. and so it's not being published to everyone on FB and making their eyes bleed. Come here at your own risk!!!
NOW! (see I rant.) My first topic for my blog is my weight loss goals. Before I had ever ever ever moved to Texas back in 2006 I weighed a decent 150-155. Not shabby. Not perfect, either. When I fell pregnant I had weighed in at 165. Eh, not too bad. The highest I climbed was 230 on the day of delivery with Emma. Yes, you read that right... a whopping 230 lbs.
HAH!
So.. a year I had dropped down to about 180 and it was just STUCK there. Couldn't move.. and then I got pregnant again. This time I only reached 200.. and dropped down to 176-180 for awhile when I was a little more active. Unfortunately.. work, stress on a number of levels...and just being tired over all with chasing 2 toddlers now a days... has led me into the 185 range. I'm not proud of this.. and I most certainly DON'T feel great either. I have a 4 inch gap between my abdominal muscles from having to 9 lb babies and having two c-sections didn't really help my case either. I have what you call a "mommy apron" now over my scar and it's not really attractive.. mixed in with faded stretch mark scars from my fast expansion and rapid loss. I breast fed for 6 months with my oldest, and 6-8 weeks with my youngest (mastitis sucks). So I'm scared, stretched, and just a little extra fluffy. 2012 was going to be my year for a tummy tuck in January but things fell through... so here you have it now. Oh, and I forgot to mention a 3rd baby will be in the mix some time by Christmas this year, too. More time to save up for that tuck, right? Yup. :)
So... wrapping things up; I want to weigh in around what I did in highschool. My ultimate weight goal being around 140-145. I'm 185 for those of you who weren't following the whole way. So 40-45 lbs to loose. I need some motivation and this blog is going to be my center fold to vent into. I will post photos and updates frequently, too. I have to. I want to be at my goal by Halloween so I can enjoy the holidays and hopefully be heathy and ready for #3. :)
So there you have it. Posting photos shortly of my torso over the last 4-6 years. Warning, they will be graphic of bare belly and stretched out skin. If you can't handle it, please exit my blog now. TNX!
