13 days post and drain free!!

Just a quick post!
✨🌟Last drain out today!🌟✨
 And I feel fantastic!!! πŸ˜πŸ˜˜πŸ’–

Super thrilled with my results so far! Scar is low and hides under panties, bikini bottoms and jeans! My doctor is an artist!  I can't believe this is the new me. It feels like a dream. Dr predicts my abs will actually be visible as the months go by and swelling subsides. Tightening up on my diet to lower my body fat to 18-22%.

Anyhow, here's a quick pic. Sports bra and undies I haven't been able to wear in 7 years. They fit amazing now! And hide my scar! *squeak!*

Looking forward to the gym again and next summer when we have pool and beach time once again. Feeling thankful and blessed is and understatement. πŸ’–

More again soon! Probably Friday/Saturday.

Quick photo collage of the past 17 months.

So I'm posting a real fast cluster of
Photos (front and side) of the past 17 months of my Weight loss that lead into me having my abdominalplasty surgery :)

Front and Side view of the last 17 months. (*On my incision I have gauze covering a part of my incision because it's rubbing on my binder and pants and it irritates it, so the gauze keeps it happy and the scabs not snagging on any cloth)

205 5mo PP,

1 week post.

So, a week has essentially passed and I'm here and doing well :) the removed 5 lbs of skin off my deflated body (I had lost 62 lbs on my own in 16 months post my 3rd baby and 3rd csection)

(My before surgery skin flap and visible umbilical hernia bubbling through the skin)

The first 72 hours weren't too shabby actually since they administered a shot called Experel that numbed everything out and made recovery quite comfortable.

The drains I'll say were probably the most aggrivating part of the recovery so far because they exit your body through your pubic mound and after a week you're pretty much over them. The drains are there to allow any fluid build up post surgery to well, drain from the body and avoid any chances of developing a seroma. Seromas are pockets of fluid built up under the skin or tissue and can be extremely uncomfy until drained. Bleck.

So, today I lucked out and got my right one removed. Sucker was snagging on my skin and irritating me and since my drains were under 30cc's of fluid in 24 hours I got one out. The second comes out Tuesday next week and I'm SO ready.  (Brace yourselves I can't "maintain" so thar be hairs sproutin'. )

There is still a hole from the site of the removed drain and I have to gauze and neosporin it for a little bit until it scabs in a few days and stops weeping. Right now I'm still very swollen but loving my results so far. I'm down 6.5 lbs since surgery day and predicted to lose more since my hernia and muscle repair have been tightened so nicely that my stomach expansion to eat will be smaller portioned.

Can't fuss there 😁

Belly button is still healing but they did seperate the derma-bond on it today and I'm quite pleased. The scar for it will hide pretty well 😍

They also removed my beloved steri-strips so I'm feeling crunchy now. Scabby. My incision is low and thin which is awesome!! Buttt... With a scanning wound and a tight binder and cloths rubbing over it, feels pinchy and crunchy. So I taped gauze over the top to keep it from snagging. I begin silicone scar therapy in about 2-3 weeks which will flatten and fade my scar to almost nothing in a few months. I scar very well and lightly as time passes so I'm excited about this.

I have another few days before I'm standing upright fully too and my torso will stretch out a bit more and not look so short (even though I do have a shirt torso on stilts 😬 )

I'm leaning on the wall because my back is tired from all the walking today and I'm still so very swollen. Dr says I'll be nice and flat in a few weeks, to a couple of months and my posture will be taller again of course. (I'm still very tight in my center) bruising is actually fading fast so that'll be gone at the month marker. The little red dash on my waist is from my binder being too tight so I have to loosen it up some to breath, but my binder keeps me comfy so I can't wait to order the waist trainer so many people I've talked to have raved about after their surgeries. I'll post about that later on.

Over all I'm extremely pleased and still awe struck that even through the swelling, I have a flat belly and no more hernia. 7 years of living with it and now I'm on a new transformation journey.

Anyhow. Thanking everyone who has helped, prayed, supported, and encouraged me in this phase of my fitness journey.

I'll have the surgery photos (the gruesome ones haha) next week to share later. *giddy*

I'm weird and like that kinda stuff. 😬

One more week till I'm in my bed too and no more recliner! *squeak!*

More later, I'm ready for bed.

Much love to everyone. Here's to another smooth, healing week! πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Day 3 and new pics!

So we are 3 days post surgery. Feeling pretty good still except a low grade fever and a head ache. Called my DR and he said that I needed to do more deep breathing techniques to get rid of the anaesthesia from my lungs. It can cauE temp to raise if it lingers. As far as head ache it can be a little from that, nasal congestion, and a few other minor things he wasn't too worried about. I'm tapering off the heavy narcotics and pain meds today to just Acetaminophen.

I'm so standing upright a bit more which feels great. Next week a drain comes out which I'm excited for as well!

Now, here's the part I'm wanting to get to. (Sorry if my sentences are choppy, I'm still really tired and just woke up haha)

This afternoon I removed the gauze from my incision (only the steri strips covered it) I was in tears. Dr Basu did an AMAZING job! My tummy, while still very swollen, is FLAT! No more jelly-belly! My belly button isn't being swallowed in skin.  And my incision is really low! So when it's bikini time I can easily cover it up! I can't believe it's me!!! I love my doctor!!!

A week before vs today 3 days post.

I'm still very swollen but that will go down over the next couple of weeks. I don't have any more belly flap!!! YAY!!!

More close up of my incision with steri strips covering it and the drains coming out my pubic area. Ready for those to be gone!

So as the next 4-6 weeks go by my true shape will begin to show. I'm incredibly happy so far with what I'm seeing even through the swell hell.

It's hard to see my new belly button but at this angle you can see the swelling much easier.

***(I share these photos for those of you who may look into doing this in the future or want to know how the healing process goes with a surgery such as this)

anyhow, my next update will be in a few days when the first drain comes out.
The recovery process has been pretty good, and no excruciating pain really (unless I cough lol) my over all experience with Dr Basu has been amazing and I will go to him in the future to fix the tatas, probably for my 30th bday haha. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a plastic surgeon.

Signing out for now. More rest needed. Thanks to everyone following and supporting my journey. πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Quick sneak of the new belly!!

So my doc said I can sponge bathe today and take a quick peek at my body. I'm astonished. It's so flat (and bruised haha) but wow! Gauze comes off tomorrow and next Friday we remove the first drain. Healing hasn't been bad at all the first 24 hours. Not much of an appetite. Pain feels like I had a really good ab workout the day before. I am keeping up on my meds so that's probably why. He also injected a pain block called experel that lasts 72 hours during the worst of the pain. It works I gotta say! I've been up and down on my own to use the bathroom and to the kitchen twice in the last 24 hours. (His instructions for one longer waddle a day the first week. Coughing hurts the worst. Umm, sleeping in our green recliner has been comfy so no complaints. The Bitties have all been so sweet with get well drawings and blow kisses. My hubby has waited on me hand and foot. My mother in law stayed with me all day yesterday too. I'm so lucky to have such wonderful in laws. :)

Sorry I'm rambling, my thoughts are foggy from pain meds so I'm making it real fast. Below are some pics. First is the mark up before we went in, the others are me today, first reveal (bruised and swollen since I'm only 24 hours out)

Can't wait till the one month mark! :)

Mark up. Football shape is what they took off. (5 lbs) had a massive hernia under belly button and little ones above hip bones). Bottom of football is how low my incision is. Haven't seen that yet.

Front with drains. Look! New belly button!

Quick side view with bruising. Have to keep gauze on till tomorrow. I will have updates tomorrow. So far so good :) my experience was an awesome one and I have a great surgery and support team.

Love to all! πŸ’ͺπŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ’–

40 hours out!!!

Hey everyone! So we are 40 hours away from me walking into the "transformation station" :)

I'm beginning to feel anxious. Like, major flutters. I'm praying this all goes according to plan and what I'm imagining in my head I'll look like. I'm also thinking about doing something fun with my hair 2-3 weeks post too.

I'm kinda diggin' bangs right now.

We will see how I feel post op.

Everything is all done at home and meds, paperwork, blood work, ect is complete and ready to go. I just need to pack a day bag for the hospital.

I also took my final measurements today and my body fat last Wednesday after Zumba which I'll post below.

*update at 32 hours left*

Okay butterflies are starting to kick in. I'm wanting to just be done with the surgery part. I feel like I'll be exhausted but wide awake this time tomorrow. GAHHH.

*deep breath*

So I need to post my measurements!

Weight 169-170 in and out of the day depending on when I ate and went potty lol.

Neck 13
Arm 11.75
Pit 34.5
Nip/bust 38
Rib 32
Waist 32
B.button 34
Pooch 36
Hips 39.5
Thigh 23
Calfs 14.25
 (Wrist 5.75)
(Ankle 8.25)

BF - 27.2%

I subtracted weight and inches too and I'm down 60+ lbs and 58 inches.

Just with diet and exercise. :)

Very excited to see what this tummy tuck will do for me as well as diet and exercise  post op once I'm cleared.

I still need to order my binder post drain removal and for my workouts. I'm so anxious!

And on a side note I'll say: I haven't received any negativity about getting this done and I'm so thankful for that. The support over the last year and a half to lose the weight after Jensen (even during his pregnancy we've had a huge wave of support and love)

Thankyou to everyone out there who thinks, loves, and prays for us. Really, it means the whole wide world.

I love my family. I love my Bitties. I love y friends. πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Alright, getting ready for bed. Small odds and ends to finish tomorrow and it's go time.

Pray all goes smoothly and safely and that this doctor works some magic. I have high hopes! πŸ’–πŸ’ͺ😘

2 weeks out!

Hello September!
Summer is coming to a close, school is back in full swing,
and fall is just around the corner in a week or two.

GIVE ME THAT COOLER WEATHER!

x)

We are 2 weeks away from Tummy Tuck Day.
Pre-op this morning.
I am so amped right now, I don't even know where to begin.

So in August I reached my weight goal of submerging into the 160's. Check!
Tubes tied and recovered. Check!
Maintained. Check!

Now here we are.
All paper work is signed and submitted.
All I have to do is lab work, and pick up my scripts for post surgery and we are settled.
Post op care is accounted for and the kids sports are frozen until October.
All I can do from here on out is stay healthy, keep the house in check, which we finalized this past weekend, and wrap up some photo work by next weekend.

My incision will be very low, thankfully. My c-section scars were very low to begin with, so he's very happy about that. My doctor got excited when he saw how lax my skin was and what he was working with. He told me my recovery time will be great based off of how active I've been.
6 weeks post will be the length of my wait time to go workout again (ease into it and go essentially and build myself back up)

He even expects that I'll have ABS once I'm back in training again. Like real abs.
Things I've dreamed about for YEARS.
I know I look thin now, even with clothes on.
But when you see me nude,.. okay in a swim suit, and just raw skin -- crinkled and stretched out to the max, you'd think I was far from that at first glance. He described it as 'deflated' since I've lost a lot of body fat since I delivered Jensen. I have a 'huge separation' he stated in the center of my abs above my belly button that he'll tighten, as well as a small weak spot/ sports hernia above my left hipbone. It's always burned and hurt if I stood up too fast or strained with squats or dead lifts from time to time, so that made sense when he found that.

I'll have very little stretch marks left, most of which will be able to hide beneath a bathing suit bottom. And I scar nicely so they'll fade well. He was very happy to say the least from my visit today and said that he expects really great results.
SCORE.

So, this means this week and next I'll be review my diet and keeping a close eye on that.

Really guys, this whole things feels like a dream.
All I know is my skin pooch and it frumping over when I sit or bend.
I can't imagine things tight and flat. It's been 7, almost 8 years since I've had that.
I'm feeling quite blessed to say the least right now that this is happening, and so very thankful that it is.

I'm currently hovering between 168-171 (sodium has really been a sensitive thing that will make me fluctuate, and if I don't get in enough water to flush it. This can bounce back and forth in a matter of hours, or days. So I'm mostly in the 160s 90% of the time.

Another cool thing is the nurse said that I can lose another 10-15 lbs after surgery, AFTER they take off an estimated 2-5 lbs. So if I go in at 168... after swelling I'll be (at most) 160-163. Hack off another 10-15, and at most I could be looking at 145. My ultimate goal was 155, but if I entered the 140's and maintained it, then hell yeah! :)

I graduated high school at 165. I could have eaten better and worked out more, but it is what it was. I'm only a couple pounds heavier than I was in HS so I'm really resetting. Once I'm back into bikini competition mode next year, I'll probably drop and tone way easier than I have this year. I can't wait for the before and after photos then from when I had Jensen till then. Even after this surgery. My mind is giddy with anticipation.

AH, my transformation Tuesday will be a biggy soon. A month from now I'll have a flat tummy. *Squeak!*

Anyhow. I'll make a post a day or so before surgery and once I'm back. Lots and LOTS of photos to come soon. We are in the count down now. 14 more days. Praying for a safe procedure and speedy recovery. This mama has 3 little ones to chase...after she's cleared that is.*
Anyhow, my excitement is growing! >:)

Let's do this. <3

(new selfie because I was bored with old ones. <3 )
Keep your eyes peeled. More very very soon.
xoxo
