Ah... last day in paradise.

So as you know, I've been in my home town Ft. Walton Beach/ Destin, FL these last 18 days and I can't say that I've been as behaved as I had originally intended. I gained 2 pounds in all while here so I'm now back at 187... but considering the amount of running, and lack of water... no real excuse. I've just been living it up on vacation. I haven't eaten a whole ton of junk, just haven't had enough to drink. Tonight I wasn't behaved at all at Outback. Eek. Good thing I went Geo caching earlier to hike around for 20-30 mins. Did I mention I'm obsessed with Geo Caching now? Look it up, you'll fall in love with this game, too. X)

Anyways. I make my 10-11 hour trip back to Houston on Saturday. I miss my husband. Longest I've been away from him since moving to TX. I don't like it at all. A few days, eh.. s'ok. This long is too long.

Anyhow. More good news!! My husband got the job he was going after!!! Starts in a week!


He's been 'unemployed' for nearly 2 years now.. and working a very small part time job. You have no idea how rejuvenating it feels to know we are safe WITH insurance again. Structure and stability is finally with us again. I'm seeking a new vehicle, phone, and membership to some sort of gym that will watch my brood as I work out. YMCA seems the most logical at the moment. Running 3 miles will be hard work when I get home too. I love it though. I lost some inches doing it.. gotta loose the pounds now.



Let's see... my newest goals now for when we return home will be to pre-portion and pre-cook meals the night or so before we intend on eating them. For all of us. Happily my kids don't eat too much junk -- we don't carry it really -- but in general I want to keep our eating habits clean.. and make them polished as possible within the next month or so. I want to weigh in the 160's by August... and drop more if possible before the holidays come around.

Tomorrow is my last beach day, and I pick up my Mazda.. my thermostat blew yesterday and hopefully the car dealer can get my extended warranty up to par so I don't have to spend 400 bucks to come home. Yuck. Sorry for the rant on a million things... but honestly I'm pretty happy with the hubby getting his job and I have a week to figure out my school stuff before I no longer have a car for a little bit. I'm really going to focus on rebuilding myself physically this summer since I've had a rocky start to the year so far. I'll post photos in a week after I've had time to flush my system some. Wish me luck as I'm seriously needing it. :P

Hello FL!

So we have arrived in Ft. Walton Beach, FL safely. Thank goodness -- 11 hours in a car, and two toddlers... not a walk in the park so to speak, but it wasn't all that bad. A relatively uneventful drive actually. I did alot of light nibbling here and there on the road. Not the BEST stuff... but I did watch the amount I had. Adjusting to diet has proven to be a challenge for me. Rawr.

Anyhow. About 30 mins after arriving at my parents house we quickly dashed out the door and hit the beach to walk the shore line for a good 45 minutes until sunset. By myself. Carrying my 25 lbs 2 year old. Chasing my 4 year old. I got something in tonight, right? LOL

Anyways. Now that vacation is here... well, after I'm done shooting this wedding on Sunday... I can really relax and just float through the next two weeks and clear my mind. Working my way to the 170's before I return to TX on the 28th. Also praying that my husband gets his job we are very anxiously waiting on -- if he is chosen or not... he is one of two. 50/50 is terribly close to not get it. A gym membership is one of the first things we will be getting if he does.

Anyhow -- out for now. Skype with the hubby since he is back in TX. I miss you Eric. Going to stay focused while we are here <3 Oh and my birthday is Saturday ;)

Oh gosh.

Totally stuffed from hibachi tonight.. (my in-laws and family here in TX surprised me with an early b-day dinner before I leave for FL since I won't be here to celebrate with them) I will be running in a bit for a full hour and coming home to jump rope/jump in place for a while to help burn some of this off. I'm going to explode... but I don't know if it'll be while running or after. 

So many caloriessssss.... but sooo gooooddddd! X_x
I am over by 600-700 right now. I feel bad I went over today but I did mainly chow down on the chicken and veggies tonight. I did have some fried rice and I know that's going to be a black mark on my diet... which means now I gotta double time it tonight to burn as much off as possible. If it helps I didn't finish it all off, and I was pretty good through the entire day to save up for dinner tonight. 

Anyhow -- I leave for FL with the girls in 29 hours and I have so much editing work to do, and errands to run tomorrow; I couldn't be more stressed at the moment than I am currently. Signing out until I get back from running.. possibly tomorrow.

Happy Belated Easter!

Ah.. I did well yesterday. We had all kinds of sweet treats and buttery baked, salt laced delights for dinner yesterday. I can very well say I behaved for the most part. I nibbled for a small taste but only enough to enjoy and compliment my family's efforts for this great get together.

It was also bitter sweet because I didn't go jogging. I paid for it tonight. I went over 3 miles, mixing between running and VERY brisk walking. This kids calfs are d.e.a.d right now. And I sweat like an animal. Yum.


(  I probably smell like one too xD )

So anyhow. I did my weigh in today.. 186. Still nowhere. Inches are still lost. I'm suspecting possible water retention though. I haven't drank enough water. Gotta work on that for sure.

On a side note I am leaving for FWB/Destin on Thursday; 4am sharp with 2 toddlers all by myself as my husband is anxiously awaiting the news if he got his job or not. Praying he does. It'd help us out, and cut our stresses tremendously. Other than the beginning of us being there.. this is pretty much how I feel right now about getting ready to return to the white sand beaches and teal colored waters that I still call my home.

One more thing I'm also doing, and bringing with me to aid in my diet is an app a friend, actually 2 friends recommended to me a few days ago. One lost 11 lbs (female) on it so far.. the other 17(male). 
It's called My Fitness Pal. It records your age, weight, height, activity level daily, exercise you've done, water consumption, ect.. and has a data base basically of all kinds of foods you can think of; from home cooked, restaurant dishes, brand name foods, ect.. you name it... the data base also has an extensive exercise data base for both cardio workouts and strength training AND will calculate off of your profile you provide in the beginning with how long and how strong you do your workouts.  Pretty bad ass and fool proof if you think about it. I've been calculated in at 1250 calories a day..(I have my goal weight at 150, and I'm 5'9" at 185 right now) if I wish to loose 2 lbs a week naturally. If I stick to this it's telling me by May 10th I believe I should have lost 10 lbs. So we shall see! I'll post again when I get to FL either Thursday night or Friday afternoon once we get settled in. I'll weigh in on Monday too... I just hope and pray I stay focused while on vacation. 

So wrapping things up.. I feel like alot of good news and things are coming for me and my family -- I just need to keep this positive cap on my head :)

Hello April!

So it's been awhile since I posted. I'm bad.. I know. :( I have been keeping up with my workouts though! I have a 30-35 minute clock in average for running 3 miles almost daily. And kick boxing is slowly finding its way into my workout routines, too. Diet wise I've been half and half. I'm not eating as much junk.. just over eating some of the stuff that I am allowing myself to eat. Working on that one too. And drinking more water. Disciplining myself is way harder than I made it out to be a few months ago.

Anyhow. I'm fluctuating between 184-187 at the moment.

Other things that have been happening in my life is that I'm going to school this fall. Yes sssiiirrr. I'm in December (the 1st) I'm in a wedding so I HAVE to drop this weight. Actually I'd like to be in the 160's at the most by August. This is going to be a major challenge with a few vacations coming up. :X

Anyways.. with all this working out I've managed to drop 2-3 inches off my waist, belly, thighs, and hips. Most pleased about this! However the numbers are off on the scale even with these inches moving around. I'm going to try to run 2x's a day with a little more effort on my diet. I need to update my photos too. :P

Hopefully I don't gain much if any at all while in Florida here starting in less than a week. I'm gone from the 12th -28th so wish this kid some luck! <3
